JOB TITLE: ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

The Producer is responsible for project managing, ensuring the game is completed on time and on budget. Managing team schedules and resource constraints while ensuring high-quality delivery game is their main objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs and manages the production of the game, from preproduction to ship
  • Budgets, plans milestones and allocates resources to meet project's goals
  • Manages, coordinates and controls the delivery of assets, tools and features, and quality assurance
  • Works with the team leads to assign work and monitor progress
  • Coordinates resources for the team, ensuring team is fully staffed and supplied with all necessary equipment
  • Communicates project goals, objectives, plans and milestones to the project team.
  • Risk Management - Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks
  • Facilitates all decisions of the production team and involves others in problem solving, decision making and creative thinking
  • Responsible for making decisions so the project can move forward, should there be a problem that cannot be resolved.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience with scheduling resources and managing projects of significant complexity.
  • Experience in action/adventure and/or sports titles/genres big asset

Skills:

  • Has functioned as an Associate or Assitant Producer on at least one published videogame product, preferably console
  • Demonstrates excellent decision making skills to analyze problems and provide viable solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with passion and drive
  • Be independent in nature, with strong ability to delegate direction
  • Superior time management and organizational skills are essential
  • A background in any of the basic gaming disciplines (Project Management, Design, Art or Programming)
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, etc…and a broad knowledge/familiarity with scheduling software
